Student Activities and Events Center (SAEC)
The Student Activities and Events Center (SAEC) is the newest facility on the campus of Indiana University Kokomo and the first new building constructed on campus in more than 20 years. Located on the east end of campus off Rebecca Lane at 2300 S. Washington Street, the SAEC opened in Fall 2020 as the new home of IU Kokomo Athletics.
Spanning 24,000 square feet, the SAEC houses all athletic department staff offices and serves as the home venue for IU Kokomo volleyball and basketball. The facility features a main gymnasium, a fully equipped athletic training room, a dedicated team meeting and film room, four locker rooms, and a spacious lobby designed as a welcoming gathering space for students.
The main gymnasium seats up to 950 spectators and is equipped with numerous technology enhancements, creating one of the premier game-day atmospheres in small college athletics. From competition to campus events, the SAEC stands as a centerpiece for Cougar Athletics and student life at IU Kokomo.
