KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's basketball team opens the 2022-2023 River States Conference slate at home against the Red Wolves from nearby Indiana University East. This is also the home opener for Coach John Kenger's team.
Thursdays game will be the only match-up of the week before next week's game in Bourbonnais, Illinois on Tuesday November 22, as the Cougars take on Olivet Nazarene University.

This season has seen competitive and tight contests in a majority of IUK's matchups. The Cougars are looking to breakthrough against the Red Wolves. Last week, the ladies lost a pair of tight contests to a duo of Crossroads League schools. Both Bethel University and Taylor University narrowly took down IUK.
IU East comes in with a season record of 0-6 and will be looking to get into the win column against the Cougars. Tomorrows matchup with IU East will be the tenth all-time, with the Red Wolves holding an 8-1 edge.
IUK last beat our fellow in-state opponent IU East in 2018, with the Red Wolves winning the last three contests.
