GARY, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's basketball team took their three-game winning-streak on the road Saturday, where the Cougars struggled in a 106-74 loss at IU Northwest. The Cougars are now 3-2 overall.
IU Northwest came out of the gates strong offensively Saturday, as they led 17-10 at the under 15 media timeout. The RedHawks extended the lead to double-digits out of the timeout, leading IUK by 17 at the 10 minute mark.
IU Kokomo entered the locker room at halftime trailing by 16, as senior guard
Dell DeMyers drilled a triple at the halftime buzzer.
The Cougars got within 14 of IU Northwest in the opening minutes of the second half, but that was as close as they got for the remainder of the game. The RedHawks cruised to a 106-74 victory Saturday, with a rematch in Kokomo set for December 18th.
Noah Harris led the way offensively yet again for the Cougars, finishing with 19 points. Four other Cougars finished in double-figures, as
Evan Kretz and
Joseph Annan Jr. scored 13 and 11 points respectively, and both
Dell DeMyers and
Max Newman added 10.
The Cougars are next in action on Saturday, November 23rd, as they will host Olivet Nazarene.
