DEFIANCE, Ohio. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's basketball team secured their second win in as many days Saturday, cruising to a 75-44 neutral-site victory over Grace Christian to finish Defiance's Purple & Gold Tournament 2-0.

THE RUNDOWN 

• IU Kokomo held a slim 9-7 edge nearing the midway point of the first quarter, then closed the period on a 13-5 run to take a 22-12 lead after ten minutes.
• The Cougars maintained control throughout the second quarter, answering Grace Christian's early push and outscoring the Tigers 12-9 down the stretch to take a 34-21 lead into halftime.
• Scoring remained strong in the third quarter, as IU Kokomo built on its lead with a series of baskets in the paint and entered the fourth holding a commanding 59-35 advantage.
• The fourth quarter saw IU Kokomo close out the game with authority, hitting key shots in transition and from beyond the arc to push the lead past 30 points and secure a 75-44 victory.

LEADING THE CHARGE

• IU Kokomo showcased balanced scoring in the 31-point victory, with junior guard Cameryn Rector leading the way off the bench with 13 points in 23 minutes.
• Lexi DiOrio, Moriah Crawford, and Hannah Hodgen each chipped in nine points, with Crawford also grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.
• Mia Catey added eight points, while Anya Friend contributed seven.
