KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's cross country program has released its 2026 recruiting class, a group that features six incoming student-athletes.
The Cougar men's cross country team is coming off another successful season in 2025, continuing its tradition as one of the premier programs in the River States Conference. IU Kokomo claimed the team title at the University of Rio Grande's Patty Forgey Invitational, finished third out of 34 teams at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, and placed fourth at the River States Conference Championship. The Cougars will look to build on that success as they add a talented incoming class this fall.
Head coach Josh Colvin, alongside associate head coach Jordan Fivecoate, are excited to welcome another strong group of student-athletes to the Cougar cross country family.

Wajit Ali | Indianapolis, IN | Southport HS
Max Bowman | Ciero, IN | Hamilton Heights HS
Max Bowman is set to join the IU Kokomo program beginning in the fall of 2026 after previously attending Hamilton Heights High School. A four-year varsity letter winner in both cross country and track and field, Bowman also competed in swimming for two seasons during his prep career. In addition to his success as a multi-sport athlete, he served as a three-year vice president of student government and earned the Husky Award during his senior year, highlighting his leadership and well-rounded impact both in and out of competition.
Bowman plans on majoring in Secondary Education with a focus in Mathematics at IU Kokomo.
Avery Condo | Monticello, IN | Twin Lakes HS
Avery Condo is set to join the IU Kokomo program beginning in the fall of 2026 after previously attending Twin Lakes High School. A multi-sport athlete, Condo competed in cross country, track and field, and basketball all four years of his prep career, while also establishing himself as a consistent performer in championship meets. He was a three-time regional qualifier in cross country, a four-time regional qualifier in track and field, and a three-time sectional champion in track, while also earning academic and technical honors upon graduation.
Condo plans on majoring in Exercise Science at IU Kokomo.
Ian Dockery | Plainfield, IN | Cascade HS
Ian Dockery is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from Cascade High School. A standout distance runner, Dockery was a four-year varsity letterman in both cross country and track and field, while also competing in swimming for two seasons during his prep career. He was a two-time All-Conference selection and a seven-time conference champion, earning recognition as one of the most consistent performers in his program. Dockery was also a one-time team captain, a two-time regional qualifier in cross country, and a four-time Academic All-State honoree, while graduating as co-valedictorian and earning Summa Cum Laude distinction all four years.
Dockery plans on majoring in Actuarial Science at IU Kokomo.
Magnus Thorstenson | Mooresville, IN | Mooresville HS
Magnus Thorstenson is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from Mooresville High School. A four-year varsity letterman in both cross country and track and field, Thorstenson also earned All-Conference honors in cross country during his prep career while consistently contributing as a key member of his program's distance group. He was a member of the National Honor Society, graduated with an Honors Diploma, and was a two-time recipient of the Mooresville Sportsmanship Award, recognized for his character and leadership in both his junior and senior seasons.
Thorstenson plans on majoring in Finance at IU Kokomo.
Ben Wallace | Kokomo, IN | Kokomo HS
Ben Wallace is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from Kokomo High School. A four-year varsity letterman in both cross country and track and field, Wallace established himself as a consistent contributor throughout his prep career while balancing success in the classroom. He earned the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program Certificate and graduated with an Indiana Diploma with Enrollment Honors and the Academic Honors Seal.
Wallace plans on majoring in Sports and Recreation Management at IU Kokomo.
