KOKOMO, Ind. – The Indiana University Kokomo baseball program has officially released its 2027 regular season schedule as the Cougars prepare for year two under head coach Kolin Conner. The 50-game slate features 16 home contests at Kokomo Municipal Stadium, seven River States Conference series, and a challenging non-conference schedule that includes multiple nationally-ranked opponents.
IU Kokomo will compete in 21 River States Conference games during the 2027 campaign, facing each of the league's seven opponents in a three-game series. The Cougars will also take on several of the NAIA's premier programs during non-conference play as they continue building toward postseason contention.
The season begins with one of the toughest opening stretches in the country as IU Kokomo travels to face national power and defending national champion No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan for a four-game series on January 29-30. The Cougars remain on the road the following two weekends with four-game series at Reinhardt (Ga.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) before competing in the annual Midwest Clash at USA Stadium in Millington, Tennessee.
Following a late-February doubleheader at Indiana Wesleyan, the Cougars will open the home portion of their schedule March 5-6 by hosting Saint Xavier (Ill.) for a three-game series at Kokomo Municipal Stadium. The home schedule also includes non-conference matchups against Saint Francis (Ind.), Indiana Tech, Marian, and IU South Bend.
River States Conference play begins March 12-13 as Kentucky Christian visits Kokomo for a three-game set. The Cougars will also host conference series against WVU Tech and IU Columbus while traveling to Midway, Rio Grande, Brescia, and perennial conference contender and postseason No. 5 IU Southeast.
The 2027 non-conference schedule is highlighted by matchups against four teams either ranked or receiving votes in the 2026 NAIA postseason poll, including postseason No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan, No. 5 IU Southeast, No. 24 Indiana Tech, and RV Marian. The challenging slate provides IU Kokomo with numerous opportunities to compete against some of the nation's top programs throughout the spring.
The River States Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin in early May, with the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round following later in the month at campus sites across the country.
