KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's basketball team is set to play in Rio Grande's Bevo Francis Invitational Friday and Saturday in Rio Grande, Ohio. The Cougars enter the weekend with a record of 3-0.

IU Kokomo comes into Friday afternoon's matchup with Washington Adventist on eight days rest, as they beat IU Northwest in their home opener last Wednesday 68-59. IUK has also beaten Governors State and Great Lakes Christian College by double-digits so far this season.

The Cougars have been led by senior guard Hunter White so far this year, who is averaging 14.3 ppg. Senior forward Darian Porch is averaging double-figures with 10.3 ppg and Xavier Hines is just shy of double-figures, averaging 9.7 ppg. Zach Rinehart is the team's leading rebounder, averaging nine per game.

Washington Adventist enters the Bevo Francis Invitational with a record of 2-0. The Shock beat Oakwood University 80-72 in the season-opener and Penn State Schuylkill 102-41. 

The Cougars lead the all-time series with Washington Adventist 1-0, having beat the Shock by 12 in last year's The Show in Kingsport, Tennessee.

The Bruins of Carolina University enter the weekend with a 1-1 record, with their lone loss coming to NCAA Division I Presbyterian College. The Bruins beat Morris College 85-69 in their season-opener before losing to Presbyterian on the road 72-46.

Saturday's matchup with Carolina University will be the first all-time between the two schools.
