Preview: Men's Basketball to Begin Postseason Play Wednesday, Hosting Ohio Christian in RSC Championship Quarterfinals

KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Kokomo men's basketball team is set to open postseason play this week with the River States Conference Championship, as the Cougars look to clinch a bid in the 2023 NAIA Tournament. IU Kokomo is set to host Ohio Christian Wednesday night.

The Cougars enter the postseason with a record of 21-7 and a conference mark of 15-3, as IUK won the RSC West Division title for a fourth-straight season. IU Kokomo has won their last two matchups heading into postseason action, beating Oakland City and Brescia in the final week of the regular season.

Ohio Christian came into the postseason with a record of 11-15 and an RSC record of 7-10, earning the #4 seed in the RSC East. The Trailblazers hosted Brescia Monday night in the opening round of the RSC Championship, knocking off the Bearcats 87-80 to advance to take on IU Kokomo Wednesday night.

IU Kokomo and Ohio Christian met once already this season in Kokomo, with the Cougars defeating the Trailblazers 79-75. IUK leads the all-time series with OCU 7-2 and are winners of seven-consecutive matchups between the two programs.

If the Cougars manage to win Wednesday evening against Ohio Christian, IU Kokomo will host an RSC semifinal game Saturday afternoon against the winner of Point Park/Midway.
