MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - A limited roster of Cougars traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during spring break to kick off the 2024 Outdoor Track Season.
Freshmen
Lalah Boyd had her collegiate 100m dash debut with a time of 13.56 that moves her to number six all time for the Cougars.
Hanah Wells made her 10,000m debut in a time of 40:59.82, putting her third in school history.
On the men's side, senior
Julian Wallace became the first ever IU Kokomo athlete to compete in the Decathlon. Julian performed extremely well in the 10-event challenge, setting the initial school record at 5302 points. Wallace then came back and ran the 400m hurdles, where he set a new school record with a time of 55.49.
Freshman
Steven Case ran the 800m in a time of 1:57.58, slotting him at number two in school history.

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend as they travel to nearby Indiana Wesleyan University to compete in the IWU Polar Bear Classic.
