INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A limited roster of Cougars traveled to Marian University this past Thursday to compete in the Knight Open. There were several school records and top five performances that made for a very successful day.
The women's throwers enjoyed yet another strong outing. Freshman Sydney Duncan shined once again by setting three new school records. Duncan had a phenomenal performance in the shot put with a new school record mark of 14.31m, which is currently #4 in the NAIA.
Sydney didn't stop there, as she also set a school record in hammer throw and discus with marks of 46.77m and 41.90m respectively.
Senior Emma Byrum continued the throws dominance by finishing first in the javelin throw with a mark of 37.37m.
Hannah Wells finished first in the 5000m run in a time of 19:38.96.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Taylor University.
