KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's golf team hosted the 36-hole 2025 Crimson Classic this past weekend at Wildcat Creek Golf Course, marking the fourth of six tournaments on their fall schedule.

THE RUNDOWN
- The Cougars stood fourth after an opening-round 308 but improved by five strokes in the final round to claim third place with a two-day total of 611 (+39), finishing nine shots behind second-place Georgetown. Shawnee State captured the team title with rounds of 303 and 290, finishing at 593 (+21).
- Junior Oliver Gearlds led IU Kokomo on the leaderboard, finishing tied for sixth with rounds of 77 and 74 for a two-round total of 151 (+8).
- Teammates Hayden Williamson and Lucas Miller also secured top-10 finishes, finishing just a few strokes behind Gearlds with two-round totals of 155 (+12). Both posted rounds of 75 and 80, swapping their performances between the two days.
- Luke Watson improved by eight strokes from day one to day two, bouncing back from an opening-round 82 to shoot a 74 in the final round, finishing tied for 13th with a two-round total of 156 (+13).
- Nathan Daugherty completed the IU Kokomo lineup with a tie for 15th place, posting rounds of 76 and 82 for a two-round total of 158 (+15).
- Cole Collins, Carter Bennett, Camdyn Price, and Evan Swinarski all competed as individuals for the Cougars, finishing tied for 20th, and placing 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, respectively.

- Next Tournament: The Cougars are set to compete in their penultimate fall tournament next Monday and Tuesday, October 20–21, at Holy Cross's Saints Classic, held at the renowned Warren Golf Course.
