Allison Richman all received NAIA Regional honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), with head coach
Heather Hayes and assistant coach
Sarah Morin earning awards as well.
All four student-athletes mentioned above earned AVCA All-Midsouth Region First Team honors after playing key roles in guiding 14th-ranked IU Kokomo to its third straight top-16 finish at the 2025 NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship.
Senior middle hitter
Lexi Broyles (DeMotte, IN/Kankakee Valley HS) capped her decorated IU Kokomo career in style, earning both First Team All-RSC and AVCA All-Midsouth Region First Team honors. The 2025 RSC Attacker of the Year and three-time All-American hit .376 on the season while posting 343 kills and a team-high 111 blocks. She finishes her career ranked second in program history in both kills (1,368) and blocks (449).
Fellow senior
Allison Richman (Fort Wayne, IN/Heritage HS) wrapped up her IUK career as the lead setter in the Cougars' two-setter system, earning both First Team All-RSC and AVCA All-Midsouth Region First Team honors. She posted 887 assists this season—the third-highest single-season mark by a setter in program history—and added 159 digs, 135 kills, and 62 blocks. Richman departs ranked third all-time in assists (2,733) and seventh in blocks (247).
Junior outside hitter
Mia Niekamp (St. Henry, OH/St. Henry HS) made a strong comeback after missing nearly all of 2024, earning both First Team All-RSC and AVCA All-Midsouth Region First Team honors. She paced the Cougars with 399 kills, hit .232 on the season, and contributed 91 digs and 51 blocks.
Sophomore outside hitter
Mya Grigsby (Greenfield, IN/Greenfield-Central HS) continued her rise as one of the league's top players, following up her Freshman of the Year and All-American season with First Team All-RSC and AVCA All-Midsouth Region First Team honors in 2025. She posted 389 kills, 378 digs, 70 service aces, and 45 blocks—her 70 aces setting a new single-season program record and breaking the 67 she previously shared.
Rounding out the recognitions, 13th-year head coach
Heather Hayes received AVCA Midsouth Region Coach of the Year honors, while first-year assistant coach and IU Kokomo volleyball alumna
Sarah Morin was named the region's Assistant Coach of the Year.
Both Hayes and Morin were also recognized as the Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year in the River States Conference.
