KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo Men's Basketball team put on a show Saturday afternoon on Senior Day inside the Student Activities & Events Center, dominating the Brescia Bearcats for a 96-63 victory.
With the win, the Cougars improve to 18-8 on the year, and 9-5 in River States Conference play.
IU Kokomo jumped out to a quick 8-2 lead before Brescia found a rhythm and took their first lead of the game at 12-10. The Bearcats led 23-21 with eight minutes and change remaining in the first half, but a
Noah Harris triple gave the Cougars a lead they would they not relinquish.
Harris's triple sparked a quick 9-0 IUK run, yet Brescia quickly trimmed the deficit to two at 30-28 with five minutes to play in the first. The Cougars finished the half strong, outscoring the Bearcats 14-3 in the final five minutes, taking a 44-31 lead into the halftime locker room.
Seventh year Head Coach
Eric Echelbarger's Cougars were essentially on cruise control for the entirety of the second half, but the final 20 minutes didn't come without a highlight.
Leading 54-39,
