Judson Quinn Named Next Women's Tennis Head Coach

KOKOMO, Ind. - Indiana University Kokomo Director of Athletics Heather Hayes has announced the hiring of Kokomo native Judson Quinn as the next head coach of the women's tennis program.

"I am super excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead the IUK women's team," said new IUK head coach Judson Quinn. "I'm really looking forward to working with players who love the sport and are as passionate about it as I am. Can't wait to get to work with the team on achieving our goals for the future and work towards growing the program!"

Judson, the current boys tennis coach at Western High School, has enjoyed immense success in a short amount of time as a head coach at the prep level. The 2024 District Coach of the Year, he has amassed 150 high school coaching victories while leading his squads to a pair of IHSAA Sectional titles and a Regional appearance.

IU Kokomo Director of Athletics Heather Hayes had this to say about the hiring of Quinn: "We are very excited to welcome Judson to our athletic department as the new head coach of our women's tennis program. He brings tremendous energy and passion for the game, along with a proven track record of success as a head coach. Being from our community, he not only has strong local recruiting connections but also valuable statewide relationships through his leadership at the high school level. We are eager to see the positive impact he will make on our women's tennis program."

Not only is he an experienced high school coach in the area, Quinn has worked at the Howard County Indoor Tennis Center for the last eight years. In his time there, he has seen eight kids go on to play at the collegiate level, including a girl who went to state as a sophomore.

Judson played collegiately at Trine University (NCAA DIII), where he graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's Dehree in Mathematics and Math Education. He also earned his MA in Mathematics from Indiana University in 2024.

A Western High School graduate, Quinn resides in Tipton County with his wife Morgan.
