RICHMOND, Ind. - The IU Kokomo women's basketball team traveled to IU East on Saturday and fell 81–55 to the Red Wolves, snapping a three-game winning streak.

THE RUNDOWN 

• IU Kokomo jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on a second-chance basket that set up a Hannah Hodgen three-pointer. IU East responded with six straight points, taking a 6-3 advantage. The Cougars then found themselves down 22-11 with under two minutes left in the opening quarter but closed the period on a 6-0 run to trail by just five.
• Both teams struggled to score in the opening minutes of the second quarter, as it was Cameryn Rector scoring in the paint to pull the Cougars within three. Despite trimming the deficit to two on several occasions, the Red Wolves managed to extend the lead to nine at the half, 38-29.
• IU East held a lead of at least nine points throughout the third quarter, outscoring IU Kokomo 22-12 to take a 60-41 advantage heading into the final period.
• The Red Wolves maintained control in the fourth quarter, finishing off the Cougars with an 81-55 victory.

LEADING THE CHARGE

• Senior forward Mia Catey led the Cougars with a team-high 13 points and nine rebounds, shooting an efficient 6-of-11 from the field.
• Cameryn Rector finished with 12 points, knocking down 8-of-9 attempts from the free-throw line.
