MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - Indiana University Kokomo junior thrower Gabriel Wedmore has been named River States Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the first time of his career, as announced by the league office earlier this week.

Having already punched his ticket to the 2025 NAIA Indoor National Championships in Shot Put, confidence was high for Gabe Wedmore this past weekend at Taylor University's George Glass Invitational.

Gabe continued his strong form in Shot Put with a toss of 15.76 meters, giving him second out of 34 competitors. He would then finish sixth of 28 in Weight Throw with a mark of 15.73 meters. 

Wedmore is currently ranked number one in the River States Conference in both Shot Put and Weight Throw, with the 2025 RSC Indoor Track and Field Championships looming the third weekend of February.
